2. What Kas Varo is
Kas Varo is a carpooling platform. It allows users to publish, search for, reserve and manage carpool trips.
Kas Varo helps connect people travelling in the same direction so they can share travel-related costs. Kas Varo does not provide transport services, does not operate vehicles, does not employ drivers, and is not a taxi, private hire, ride-hailing, courier, delivery, bus, transport or passenger carrier service.
Drivers and passengers are independent users of the platform. Drivers publish trips they already intend to make or are willing to make as carpool trips. Payments made through Kas Varo are intended to help share travel-related costs, not to create a professional transport relationship.
3. Eligibility
By using Kas Varo, you confirm that:
- you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- the information you provide is accurate and complete;
- you will comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
We may refuse, suspend or terminate access if we believe a user does not meet these requirements.
4. User accounts
You may need to create an account to use Kas Varo.
You are responsible for:
- keeping your login details secure;
- all activity under your account;
- keeping your account information accurate;
- notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not sell, rent, transfer, lend or share your account with another person.
We may require phone, email, identity, payment, driver, vehicle or other checks before allowing access to some features.

- you hold a valid driving licence;
- your vehicle is roadworthy, insured and legally allowed to be used;
- your vehicle matches the information shown in the app;
- you comply with all traffic, road safety, insurance and transport laws;
- your carpool trip listing is accurate;
- you drive safely and responsibly;
- you do not offer trips in a way that requires licences, permits or registrations you do not have.
Kas Varo is designed for carpooling and cost-sharing, not for professional, commercial, taxi-like, ride-hailing or passenger transport activity unless explicitly allowed by applicable law and by Kas Varo.
Drivers are responsible for their own tax, legal, insurance and regulatory obligations. Kas Varo does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice.
6. Passenger responsibilities
If you use Kas Varo as a passenger, you are responsible for:
- providing accurate booking information;
- arriving at the agreed pickup point on time;
- behaving respectfully toward drivers and other passengers;
- following reasonable safety instructions;
- wearing a seatbelt where required;
- not damaging the vehicle;
- not bringing prohibited, dangerous or illegal items;
- paying applicable trip prices and fees;
- not distracting the driver or creating unsafe conditions.
7. Carpool trip listings
Drivers may publish carpool trip listings through Kas Varo.
A trip listing may include:
- origin and destination;
- route;
- date and time;
- available seats;
- price;
- vehicle information;
- pickup or drop-off details;
- additional trip notes.
Drivers must ensure trip listings are truthful, accurate and not misleading.
Unless a different limit is shown in the app, drivers may have up to 2 active carpool trip listings at a time. We may reject, pause or remove additional listings where a limit applies.
We may remove, restrict or modify trip listings that appear unsafe, fraudulent, illegal, misleading or in breach of these Terms.
8. Bookings
A booking or reservation request is created when a passenger requests or reserves a seat through Kas Varo according to the app flow.
A seat is not confirmed unless the driver accepts the request or the app otherwise confirms the booking. Until then, the request may remain pending, expire, be declined, be cancelled or become unavailable.
The exact booking flow may depend on the app version and the features available at the time.
Unless a different limit is shown in the app, passengers may have up to 2 active reservation requests or confirmed bookings at a time. We may reject or prevent additional reservation requests where a limit applies.
Users must not attempt to bypass Kas Varo's booking, payment, safety or dispute systems.
9. Payments and fees
Kas Varo may request or authorize payment from a passenger when a reservation request is made. If the driver accepts the request or the booking is otherwise confirmed, the payment may be captured or completed.
If a reservation request is declined, expires, fails, or is cancelled before payment capture, the payment authorization may be released. The timing of authorization releases may depend on the passenger's bank, card issuer, wallet provider or payment provider.
The total amount shown before payment may include:
- trip price;
- service fee;
- booking fee;
- payment processing-related fee;
- any other applicable fee shown before checkout.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Kas Varo does not store full payment card details.
By making or authorizing a payment, you authorize the relevant payment provider to charge, authorize, capture or release the selected payment method for the amount shown before checkout, according to the booking flow and these Terms.
10. Driver payouts
Driver payouts may be processed through a third-party payment provider.
Before receiving payouts, drivers may need to complete payment provider onboarding, identity checks, bank account setup or other compliance requirements.
Driver earnings may be paid out automatically or through early cashout features where available. Payout and early cashout timing, eligibility, limits, fees and availability may depend on the driver's payout account status, completed rides, payment provider rules, risk checks, dispute status and the rules shown in the app.
Kas Varo may delay, withhold or cancel payouts where necessary due to:
- incomplete payment onboarding;
- suspected fraud;
- user dispute;
- refund request;
- chargeback;
- payment reversal;
- breach of these Terms;
- legal or regulatory requirement;
- payment provider requirement;
- safety investigation;
- incorrect or incomplete payout information.
11. Trip completion, disputes and refunds
Kas Varo may hold or delay release of funds until a trip is completed or until the applicable dispute period has passed.
Unless a different period is shown in the app, passengers may have approximately 2 hours after the scheduled or recorded trip completion time to report that the trip did not happen.
Trip completion, refund and payout decisions may depend on app actions, timestamps, ride status, cancellation records, no-show reports, messages, location-related evidence, user reports and other relevant information available to Kas Varo.
A refund may be considered if:
- the driver did not show up;
- the trip did not take place;
- the driver cancelled after payment;
- the passenger was unable to take the trip due to the driver's fault;
- another serious issue occurred that justifies a refund under these Terms or applicable law.
A refund will not normally be granted only because:
- the passenger changed their mind after the trip happened;
- the passenger disliked the conversation, music, vehicle comfort or route, unless the situation involved safety, fraud or a serious breach;
- the passenger failed to arrive on time;
- the passenger provided incorrect pickup information;
- the passenger breached these Terms.
Kas Varo may decide disputes based on available data, including trip details, messages, timestamps, user reports, payment data, account history and technical records.
12. Cancellations
Cancellation rules may be shown in the app. By booking or publishing a carpool trip, you agree to the cancellation rules shown at the time.
Kas Varo may apply different cancellation rules depending on timing, user role, trip status and circumstances.
Cancellations, no-show reports or other trip issues after a trip has started may require additional information and may be sent for manual review before a refund, payout or other outcome is decided.
We may cancel bookings or trips where necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment failure, technical issues, user blocks, reports or policy enforcement.
13. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If a passenger starts a chargeback or payment dispute through a bank, card issuer or payment provider, we may share relevant booking, payment, trip and communication data with the payment provider to respond to the dispute.
If a payment is reversed after a payout has been made, we may recover the relevant amount from the driver's future payouts, available balance or by other lawful means.
14. Reviews and ratings
Kas Varo may allow users to rate or review each other.
Reviews must be honest, relevant and respectful. You may not post reviews that are fake, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory, misleading or unrelated to the trip.
We may remove or restrict reviews that breach these Terms.
15. Messaging and user content
Kas Varo may allow users to send messages, upload photos, publish trip information, submit reports or create other content.
You are responsible for the content you submit.
You must not submit content that is:
- illegal;
- threatening;
- abusive;
- discriminatory;
- sexually explicit;
- fraudulent;
- misleading;
- spam;
- defamatory;
- invasive of privacy;
- harmful or unsafe;
- designed to bypass moderation;
- otherwise unsafe or inappropriate.
We may monitor, review, restrict, remove or report content where necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention or enforcement of these Terms.
If you report or block another user, Kas Varo may limit interactions between you and that user, make listings or conversations unavailable, remove a participant from a ride or booking, release payment authorizations, close conversations, or take other reasonable safety or enforcement steps.
16. Image and profile validation
Kas Varo may use automated or manual checks to validate uploaded images, such as vehicle photos, profile photos or other verification-related images.
We may reject or remove images that are unclear, irrelevant, fake, manipulated, unsafe, inappropriate or inconsistent with the required purpose.

- use Kas Varo to transport illegal, dangerous or prohibited goods;
- use Kas Varo for courier, parcel delivery or freight services unless explicitly allowed by Kas Varo.
18. Safety
Users are responsible for taking reasonable safety precautions.
Passengers should check that the vehicle and driver match the trip information shown in the app before entering the vehicle.
Drivers should verify passengers according to the app flow where available.
If you feel unsafe, do not continue the trip. Contact local emergency services where necessary.
Kas Varo may restrict or suspend users who appear to create safety risks.
Repeated or serious cancellations, no-shows, unsafe behavior, false reports, abuse of refunds or disputes, or other violations may result in warnings, booking limits, cancelled bookings, temporary driver-mode restrictions, withheld payouts, account suspension or termination.
19. Taxes
Drivers are responsible for determining and fulfilling any tax, reporting, accounting or regulatory obligations arising from money received through Kas Varo.
Kas Varo may provide transaction summaries or payment information, but we do not provide tax advice.
20. Insurance

Kas Varo does not provide motor, passenger, travel, accident or personal insurance unless explicitly stated in the app.
Users should check their own insurance coverage where relevant.
21. Platform availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that Kas Varo will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
We are not responsible for losses caused by downtime, technical issues, maintenance, app errors, connectivity problems or third-party service failures, except where required by law.
22. Third-party services
Kas Varo may rely on third-party services, including payment providers, maps, routing, hosting, analytics, messaging, push notifications and app store providers.
Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services except where required by law.
23. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account if we believe that:

You may stop using Kas Varo at any time and request account deletion.

25. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that you may have under applicable law.
